Abstract

The article presents different approaches to the study of communication in a literary text: 1) linguistic approach, which examines the lexical-phraseological structure of the character's speech, 2) linguistic-pragmatic approach, which studies the composition of speech acts in the speech of heroes, 3) literary approach, whose essence is to explore the additional features of character's language presented in the author's speech, and 4) semiotic approach, which correlates the data of the natural language semiotics with understanding of literature.
