Интертекстуальность и гендер в современной мультипликации
Abstract
This article represents a multi-modal analysis of some dominant gendered discourses in «Shrek», an animated feature-length film. Several extracts, which exemplify ways in which gendered discourses are encoded in the film, prove that the film does not reject traditional gender stereotypes entirely, it subverts them for a humorous effect. The role of interdiscursivity is particularly important in the film.
