Гендерная специфика функционирования мелиоративов в английском языке

Abstract

The article tackles an acute problem of present-day sociolinguistics, namely the factor of gender as one of the central characteristics of personality representation and its influence on the strategies and tactics of people’s behavior. The research gives a complex gender analysis of male and female ameliorative speech taking into account structural and pragmatic aspects. The article presents the analysis of ameliorative strategies used by both genders and their present-day peculiarities.
