Переводимость в переводоведении и лингвокультурологии

Abstract

This article concerns with two different concepts of «untranslatability», the one which is typical for the new linguistic discipline in Russia – the so called «cultural linguistics» («lingvokulturologija»); the other one is represented by the practical and theoretical translation. The examples of untranslatable words in these two areas of human knowledge obviously differ from each other. The actual motivation of «cultural linguistics» is not to find and to describe the real untranslatable (language specific) words but to provide some evidence for the Ethnic stereotypes.
